I have XP Pro SR2, and all updates, with Office 2003, OE, using Avast,
Ad-Aware, Spybot S&D (occ.about 1/month), and Windows Firewall is on...

The past two weeks my IE has crashed several times, and I'm getting images
of prior windows/screens overlapping on the monitor...rather like a very
slow slide show--can't figure out what's going on. These are partial images
of whole screens, like a button that is clicked on a webpage, or a border
from one side of something. At that point, everything become impossible to
work with, and/or freezes. Also, my screen reader (ZoomText or Dragon)
continues reading like everything was fine--IOW, it is not interrupted.

Help please. Thank you, everyone. Ariel

I would suspect the video adapter driver to be at fault. Is the most
current version from the video adapter manufacturer installed? What ever
you do, DO NOT get one from "Windows Updates". They are typically a
generic version and will "downgrade" your system, even if they are "newer".

Thank you!!! I did a clean install of XP Pro about 2 months ago...had to
install new sound card, and couple of other drivers--from HP. I'll check on
the video adapter driver...Thank you, again (how does one find this driver?
Go to HP for it again?)

Yes, go to HP. If I recall, you may input your computer Model number and
get a list of all the drivers.
