Failing SP4 Update

Hi has anyone found out how to get SP4 to install
correctly, keep getting to install and the agreement
window fails to display, after closing it and clicking on
install it works but then the installation fails because
there is another instance of service running.
 
I'll just chime in to say that I had failed attempt also...getting only a
message saying that the update failed with no specifics as to why.
Also "killed" MS Office 2000 and modem driver.
