Failed download Vista SP1 - Code 800B0100

Still am getting this error code when trying to download/install SP1 (via the
Windows Update site) on my Vista Ultimate 64-bit.
All other recommended and/or important updates are installed but I still get
this error code when trying to put SP1 onto my PC.
What can I do?
Thank you.

Try running a command prompt elevated and registering a dll as follows:

Type CMD in Start/Search (do not hit Enter). Right click on cmd at the top
of the menu and select Run As Administrator. Type "regsvr32 wintrust.dll"
(no quotes) at the prompt and hit Enter. Type EXIT + Enter to close the
command window and try the download again.

Colin,
Thank you very much for your reply. I did as you said and even did a restart
after closing the command window - but again it stopped while downloading the
SP1 giving me the same error code.
Do you have any other idea?
Many thanks.

Again, thanks Colin, for the info.
Will contact them and see if they know any solution.
Do you think it would be worth spening the $3.50 (I think) to purchase SP1
on CD/DVD and install it from there? Do you think it might work?

Again many thanks.

Why would you spend $3.50 when you can download it as a stand alone
installer straight from Microsoft?

The microsoft download center has it ready to go. Right now.

Joel, I don't suppose you read the subject line, did you?

Well, its handy to have but you need to find out what the problem is now
anyway. Otherwise it will just come up again.
