David Andrew

I have a domain controller that failed a few weeks ago.... We have decided
that there is no need for this domain controller to be brought on-line
again.

What is the correct procedure to remove this domain controller from the
domain.

Regards.

I'v understood this post as he has a failed domain controller which is
not operational anymore so he can't run the DCPROMO anymore on it.

You are correct. My fault. I thought he was looking to remove AD.
