You'll have go to Control Panel/Admin Tools/Services to start Telnet to
use it in the test.
If you can login to the ISP's POP3 that way, then you know there is
nothing wrong at the ISP, but if you cannot do it, then there is
something wrong on the ISP's end. OTHO, if you can login using the test,
but cannot login with WM, then you know something happened to WM.
You should find the Command Prompt off of Start button/All
Programs/Accessories and right-click the line and select Run As
Administrator to make sure you have enough power/prevlidges to execute
the Telnet command.
You should disable the Telnet service when you are done.
The ISP could have lost your user-id and/or password for you to login,
or it/they changed. I have had it happen.
I'll say this, WM has a nasty habit of loosing either all or part of the
login credentials, so be aware of it.
