Failed 22 May 2004 Security Update for Windows XP (KB840374)

Have repeatedly tried to install this update. Downloads
to computer ok but fails to install. Am otherwise up to
date on all security issues according to MS sarech for
thus machine. Help please - don't know what to do next!

I am having the same issue with this update. Others have installed without a hitch. The indication I get when executing the download is that the update has already taken place- but failed. I can find no evidence of error codes anywhere. Since this is my firste encounter with an error like this- I'm not of any help. I'm looking to find more about contacting MS support via email..... which is a mystery in anf of itself!
