fade in one by one

I have my title slide set up using 'fade in one by one' with three lines of
text. The first one fades in after the slide opens, the second one fades in
with a click of the mouse, the third one shows up right away by itself when
the slide opens. I have erased and re-entered that text. I have removed
and re-applied the animation. It's like the animation is only applied to
the first two lines. Am I missing something here?

Solved my own problem. When I right clicked on the slide and looked at
custom animation, only line 1 & 2 had little squares with numbers beside
them. I had to add a number to the third line of text in Custom Animations
before I could apply any animation effects. Sometimes if you stare at your
screen long enough and click enough buttons, you can usually figure out the
problem.
