Fade Effect Default Speed

Hello,

When I click "Add Effect" in Custom Animation and select "Fade" the default
speed is Medium. Can I change the default to "Very Fast"?

Unfortunately, no.

You could use something like Animation Carbon http://www.mvps.org/skp/ or
the PPTXtreme tools http://www.pptxtreme.com to create that animation (with
Very Fast speed) and apply it to other objects.

In the custom animation task pane, right at the top, there should be a list
called speed, click on the listarrow next to it and choose whatever speed
you need.
If that is not sufficient, double click the entry in the taskpane, choose
timing tab, next to speed type the speed you want to apply e.g. 20 sec and
press enter.

Ouch, sorry I missed the default part. I do not think it is possible to
change the default speed of any animation.
