facing problem of data corruption while porting data from windows 2000 to windows XP

Hi all,

I am facing a problem of data corruption.


In my college, I work on windows 2000 . while porting data using floppy

from college to my home, where i have windows XP,I am facing a problem
of data corrution.


my floppy does not open.


does any one has solution on my problem.


for some days,i hav to use floppy only, no option of pen drive.


does any one faced same problem??


does this happence always??

Always format and check floppies before using.
From MSDOS = format a: then scandisk a: /surface
From NT at command prompt = format a: then chkdsk /r /f
read the display when done.
