extreme 3d joystick

I bought a logitech extreme 3d pro joystick.it is
installed, says it is ok ,tests fine but when I turn on a
game the only thing that moves the cursor is the mouse.
Can you offer any help?
 
What game is it? Not every game supports joysticks. They have to be
specifically coded to look for joystick data.
