Extra Page with Column Format

I have a newsletter that's formatted in two newspaper style columns. I have
an extra page at the end, and when I try to delete it, the column formatting
is lost on the previous pages. I can't figure out why this is happening, as
I've used this format for years. When I look at the formatting marks, I see
a page break at the end, but when I delete that, I lose the column format.
Can anyone help?

The Section information is in the last paragraph mark of the document.
If you want to delete stuff, select everything _except_ that final
paragrah mark and then delete. (Or maybe the page break you're
deleting was actually a Section Break New Page, and the paragraph mark
_beforre_ it has the information for the preceding section.)

There is a paragraph mark and then a Section Break New Page. If I delete the
section break, I lose the formatting. I can delete the paragraph mark and
the formatting stays--but with an extra page--but if Idelete the Section
Break, it ruins the formatting. On the extra blank page, there's what looks
like a bullet, although I can't remove it, and then there's another
paragraph mark, which I also can't delete.
