external usb hdd

I have bought an external USB HDD, the PC can see it as it
shows in hardware but I cant work out how to access it?

I am using win me, i have tried right clicking on my
computer to get to manage but there is no manage option?

Any ideas gratefully received

Did you format the drive? The documentation that came with the drive
should explain what needs to be done.

Try asking in a WindowsME newsgroup..... You probably need to install the
Windows9x drivers that came with the drive.
