I hade a hard drive problem that required me replacing my hard drive, but I
am able to still us my old hard drive, which still has all of it's old info,
as an external hard drive.

How can I import my old emails, and addresses, from outlook express to
outlook? I am not able to find the correct files?

Thanks, very usefull. But where do I find the actual target files? All my
downloaded emails & address's should still be there, just like when it was my
primary hard drive...correct?

They will be stored under
\Documents and Settings\<username>\Local Settings\Application
Data\Identities\<long string of alphanumerics>\Microsoft\Outlook Express

I get as far as \Documents and Settings\<username>\ ... but there is no
Local Settings or Application folder to go to.

Thanks

Hi WS,

Those folders are system folders and are hidden by default.
You must go under tools\folder options
click on view
click on "show hidden files and folders"
uncheck "Hide protected operating system files"
click apply
click OK
to make the folders visible.

Larry, you are a genius. 100% success.

I never would have figured out the hidden files.

Thanks,
