How can I remove all the programs listed inder "recommented programs" in the "open with..." window? (appears after right clicking on a file)

How can I remove all the programs listed inder "recommented programs"
in the "open with..." window? (appears after right clicking on a
file)

I don't think you can do this. There is a default program that opens each
file type that is registered on the system. This program opens the file when
you double click or right click and select Open.

The Recommended Programs in that list are other registered programs that can
open this type of file. The list will vary depending on which file type you
select.
