Exporting PST File from 2000

I have found my PST file in Outllok 2000 and would like to export it to my
new machine which has Outlook 2007. However, when I try move the file it
says, Cannot move oulook: It is being used by another person or program.
Close any programs that might be using the file and try again.

I have Outlook closed. Why would it not let me access the file? What other
files might be using it? (everything is closed)

Thanks in advance for any help.

DeskTop Search app?
Tried copying whilst booted in safe mode?
PS By Export I trust you meant copy and when located on the new PC, not in
the default location, you are simply going to open it within OL?

Do not use the 'Export' function for this. Either copy the original PST
file, or a backup of it. Make sure that Outlook is closed (Task Manager)!

On the new machine do not use 'Import'; just open the PSY file with
Outlook. (Depending on how you copied the file, you may need to remove
the read-only attribute.)
