Exporting Import Specs

I know you can import specs from another MDB by using the import function.
Strangely enough the check box states "Import/export specs"

Is there any way (within access or programatically) to save the specs outside
of acess and import them?

There's no built-in way.

As far as I know it's possible to do it by using queries and perhaps
VBA code to export and import data in the hidden system tables where
the specifications are stored (MSysIMEXSpecs and MSysIMEXColumns).
