Exporting Contacts to Excel in Office 2003

Running Office 2003 with all updates current. Trying to export my contacts to
Excel. When I get to the screen that says choose a folder to export from, the
screen is blank, no folder show up. I tried repairing the inbox, no luck. Any
ideas on how to fix?
 
You did not choose the correct format to export. Go to File, Export, Export
to file, Personal File Folder and then you'll be able to select the contacts
folder.
 
How do I open a pst file in Excel. I wanted to export the contacts into an
excel file
