Exporting as .mpeg?

i wish to export my movie so i can create a DVD with Ulead DVD Movie Factory
SE which can only import .mpg .mpeg .mp2 and .dat files but i'm not sure if
WMM can export as one of the forementioned file types.

is there a free way to change .wmv into .mpg .mpeg .mp2 and .dat files?

You need to export from MM as a dv-avi file. If you chose the capture as WMV
option at the very beginning you will not get this choice when saving the
movie file, so it's either find an authoring app that will accept wmv files
or start again and capture via firewire and as a dv-avi file.
