Exporting Access Charts

I need to export some of my reports that have charts on them. I have exported
the report as a snapshot file, but when I try to insert it into PowerPoint I
only see the upper left hand corner of the report. I have tried all of the
sizing option I know of and I still can't get the entire chart to display.

The snapshop format is not a requirement, it just seemed like the best way
to open the report in PowerPoint. If anyone has another idea I am up for
trying it.

Can anyone help me?

I don't seem to have your problem with resizing a snapshot of a report in a
PowerPoint slide, but I'm not really keen on doing it that way - unless you
need other information that's also in your report. If it's just the chart
that you want to put into your slide, here's a different approach.

First, you'll need to copy your chart object from the report into a form. A
straight cut/paste, with both the report and the form in design mode, is all
it takes; if you're copying it to a new form, you can leave the entire form
unbound from any recordsource; the copied chart will retain its own
recordsource. This step is necessary because, although you can copy the
chart from the report in design mode, the data you get is the data which it
had when it was created, not the data from the current database.

Once you've got the chart on a form (and set the form so that it displays
reasonably), you can simply double-click on the chart (when the form is open
in view mode, not design mode) and it will open in the Graph applet - you'll
notice that the menus available change to those of the Graph applet. You
can now copy the entire chart and paste it into your Powerpoint slide; once
there, resize etc to suit. It's not linked to the database data; if you
need that - and since you were doing it from a snapshot I'm assuming you
don't - then a different approach is needed; I guess it's do-able, but I've
never needed it, so I haven't done it myself ;-)

Thanks for the info Rob. I am a couple steps closer, but when I double click
on the chart, once it is on a form in view mode, I do not get any options. I
am essentially not able to select the object. Do you have any ideas?
