Hi,

I have created Access reports with charts in them, and need to export them
out to Powerpoint. The only thing I could do was export the reports to Word,
but the charts did not come out.

Hs anyone tried this?

I don't think you can export Access Reports to Powerpoint like you can to
Word. However, I have done something very much like it by using Access to
create the charts in Excel, and then paste them into a Powerpoint
presentation. It will, however, require VBA programming to automate both
Excel and Powerpoint.

I don't have a sample that illustrates this exact process, but I do,
however, have two samples that (if combined) would do the trick.
"AutomatingWordFromAccess.mdb"
(http://www.rogersaccesslibrary.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=396) shows how
to create a Chart in Excel and export it to a Word document. I understand
that you don't want to export to Word, but by a very similar process, you
can export to Powerpoint. Another sample: "AutomatingPowerpoint.mdb"
(http://www.rogersaccesslibrary.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=397) shows how
to create and open a Powerpoint object (rather than a Word object) to paste
the charts into.

There is no direct output from Access to Powerpoint.
The cleanest way (IMHO) is to output the report to a snp (Snapshout viewer
file). You can import an snp file into PP very easily.
