Explorer's Default View Setting

How does one keep the VIEW -> Details option as a default
for everytime Windows Explorer opens up and moves through
various folders? I am currently using:
C:\WINNT\explorer.exe /e,/root, behidn the scenes of
Explorer icon and I have gone into options and
checked "remember folder settings", but it will always
come up displayed as "Large Icons" view and EVERYTIME I
change the view to Details and then I switch or click on
folders and it goes back to Large icons, where I switch it
again.

Thanks Ahead

First, I am not trying to make this hard on you, but easier in the long run.
How do you want them to appear?
I am sensing you like "details"

First off, Help has a pretty good explanation generally, but it does not cover
what you asked.
Start>Help>Index[tab]>"type" Folder Options(there are about 10 subtopics).
Notice the tab at the top called Favorites. Subjects you look up can be placed
in Favorites to revisit, and it was good for me learning, because there is so
much ingest, I couldn't remember the "damn" term that I wanted, but I could
remember to go back to "Favorites".<gG>
But pacify me and at least look at it.

If you open The Control Panel in Folder Options settings many times should be
done from the control panel applet(s).
One quickie and I'll give you the cheese. Look at System in Control Panel. Now
go right mouse My Computer>Properties(Same) but doesn't "always" work the same.

OK... Here is the cheese.
Open My Computer, set the right pane the way you like it, View, yada yada, then
click Tools>Folder Options>view[tab]>click "Like Current Folder"
And all the windows will be the same. Don't forget there is another button t the
right of the one you just clicked. Good knowledge.

Okay, tried the Real Cheese piece, where I got it to what
I wanted it to display like and then Tools>Folder
Options>view[tab]click "Like Current Folder" I then took
out the /root, parameter and left it with just /e, and it
is working and "saving" the way I wish to see it each
time. Thank You very much... All seems like such a small
thing, but when you click on Explorer 10-20 times a day
and change view to details on EVERY single folder you
click on as you navigate, it gets old....

Love these newsgroups...

Thanks Again,
Brian
