Alana

I keep getting an error window saying. This program
(Explorer) has performed an illegal operation and will be
shut down. Now as long as i do not click it off, I can
continue, but when I close it, everything disappears off
the screen and I have to reboot. Could this also affect
my resources ? My resources only last about an hour, and
I'm only running my virus and firewall programs.
Any help greatly appreciated. Thank you.

You may be in the wrong area for assistance. Explorer is
not Internet Explorer. Explorer.exe is "windows".

Which version of Windows are you running?

When did the problem begin?

Do you have a "details" button? If yes, left click on
it. Write down the first 3 lines of information and post
in the newsgroup associated with your Operating System [
version of windows ]. If you run Millennium, go to
C:\faultlog.txt . The error message is stored there.

Best of success.

Try this: Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > Browsing
Uncheck the Enable 3rd party browser extensions

If this clears your problem then find out who the culprit(s) is/are with
these tools.

Let AD-Aware Scan your system for advertising Spyware
http://www.lavasoftusa.com

and:

SpyBot-S&D
http://security.kolla.de/

p.s Reset the 3rd party browser setting.

More: This may be caused by a third-party program (adware, spyware,
parasite).
Get AdAware and SpyBot and run them both. Keep them up to date.
