explorer

i have a problem with the explorer on vista
i have home premium 32 bit
it keeps on crashing on me and when i downloaded the update that was sugested
by the system (Technical Information
Performance and Reliability Pack (KB938979)
it told me this is not aplicable to your system
what should i do
i sent feedback back to microsoft but no help yet
does any one know what to do?

Updates normally create a restore point , use system restore to revert back
to time before updates installed and set MS upates to download but not
install.
Then when they are downloaded you can select the updates that you really
require
