Explorer Windows Not Opening

My little bro was showing me how to manually change
windows icons using the "File Types" tab in the Folder
Options windows, which you see when you click Tools and
Folder Options in a regular Explorer Windows, when I went
off to work I came home and he explained he didn't know
what he did wrong but anytime I double click any drive or
folder from My Computer or my desktop it opens the Search
for Files window. I am using WinXP Professional and I
would be overwhelmingly greatful if someone could help
me. For now I'm running Norton and keeping my computer
on...I'm too afraid to restart it seeing how I'm not sure
whats going on...I really hope someone can help.

See "Search Companion Starts If You Double-Click a Folder"

Hi Clinton,

Go to Start/Run and type in: regsvr32 /i shell32

If that doesn't correct the issue (and it should) use this automated edit:

Search or CMD Opens When Double Clicking a Folder or Drive (Line 18)
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm

To use the VBS File: Download .vbs file and save it to your hard drive (you
may want to right click and use Save Target As). Double-click the vbs file.
You will be prompted when the script is done.
