Explorer Window freezing

I start up windows explorer(note I have comcast cable
internet if that makes any difference) and everything
goes fine. After about five minutes of being on though if
I try clicking on a link or download the screen freezes
and doesn't alow me to close it(if I right click and the
pop up menu will open and imediately close). however I
can still move the mouse and so if I try going to Start
and opening windows explorer again it works fine and I
don't have the problem. Of course the frozen window will
stay up untill I turn off or restart the computer. This
didn't start untill very recently(the night before I
typed this). Anyone out there who can help me?

Hello!
There may lots of causes behind it.Scan your system with
latest virus definitioned antivirus, look at event viewer
in control panel for exact cause.
