Explorer unable to access key sites

Clearly a growing problem over the last few days on this
board; e.g I can't access Microsoft or Mcafee, but all
other sites are fine. (I am on this site via AOL).
Helpful solutions over last few days have not helped so
far. Can the boys at Microsoft PLEASE HELP!! Is this a
new virus??

i suppose you have tried spybot form safer-networking.org
and updated first or ad-aware from lavasoftusa.com update
first.

or did you install the latest critical updates and start
having the problem???? kb835732 is a bit buggy with
variable symptoms.
and of course scan system for virus and trojan.

It may be a HOSTS file problem.
Look for a file named HOSTS (no extension, could be hidden) rename it
OLDHOSTS.
