I am having an issue with explorer starting when I login to any profile. I
have already checked the reg for both current/run for incorrect keys or
values as mentioned in Article ID : 170086

To no resolve. any ideas?

No dice, the entry is not there so the script does not work.

thanks

Disable all the items in MSCONFIG under the StartUp tab. Reboot. Enable one
item at a time. Reboot. Repeat until the StartUp item that is causing the
folder to open is found.

Or Export the registry entries under:

[HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run]
[HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run]

Then post your results here.

OK,

Presuming that you logged in as the Administrator in Safe Mode.
If you're using the Starter program I mentioned, go to the section
Registry => Current User and uncheck everything in there.
Restart

If the condition persists, just re-check everything.
If it goes away, start re-checking the entries one-by-one and
restarting after each to try and narrow down the culprit.

Thanks for your help, I have gone thru that already. I removed everything in
both runs and still continues.
I thought it might be viril, or spyware, but nothing in any scans.
