EXPLORER multiple sites

Everytime I open explorer a side window opens with an
addvertisment. How do I stop this second window from
opening??

I am getting the same thing but with 3 popup windows of
varying sizes.....ironically one is advertising a popup
killer.
I see Microsoft are keeping stum on this one!

I recommend the google popup blocker. Or you need to run
an antivirus scan, then find and eliminate the adware on
you PC.

parasite)

Hi Don,
Thanx for the info,have spent most of this morning going
thru' the 'solutions'......Spybot doesn't do anything,CWS
says there is no problems and Ad-Aware has found problems
that I never knew I had (which is OK what!)
However it appears that the dirty little popups are still
in there some where.....sob...sob.
I run Windows XP and this is the first problem I have
ever had with IE6.
Anyway I will keep trying to find the solution and if I
am successful I will let you all know.
Would appreciate any further possible solutions in the
meantime.

resolved by Ad-Aware and everything is running smoothly.
