explorer font

simple question i'm sure:

a little screen popped up on my laptop when first got my
dsl connection. i can't remember exactly what is said or
anything, but i pushed enter and now the fonts in my
internet explorer browswers are HUGE. i tried changing
it in explorer in the tools/options menu, but that hasn't
helped. for example, when a site has drop down menus,
they are always really big and take up more space than it
needs to. what is the problem?? help!

Have your tried your DSL tech support for help?
