Explorer.exe keeps closing after "generating errors" and "encountering a
problem". It usually seems to happen when I try to access my documents or
search etc. The Dr Watson file has the following header c0000005
ntdll!rtlallocateheap(77f57ec4)and c0000005shell32!ordinal643(7746bb8f).
Any ideas how to remedy it anyone?
Thanks

To repair all system files, go to Start/Run, and type: SFC /SCANNOW

Hi Mark, and thanks...tried inputting the command, but it said windows
couldn't find it..so I'm going to browse for it and I'll come back to you

Hi Mark..I ran chkdsk and things seem to be quicker..I'll keep and eye on it.
Is this the same as the scan file program? Thanks again. Clive.
