explorer dial up

When 1st start up. click on explorer. Get dail up window, select (do not use
auto connect), dials up & connects OK. After logoff, try to reconnect by
click on explorer, this time it gives me display error "unable to display
page" I never get dial up connect window. I switched to auto connect - same
problem. If I shut down & restate. Can connect 1st time only. I can select
"connect to bellsouth.net" works everytime. Then I select explorer & get my
home page. I would like not to have to go through 2 stages to connect after
doing so 1st time.

It's doing what you tell it to. If you want to reconnect, while keeping your 'never dial' setting, you neeed to open the Network
Connections folder, and rightclick the connection icon, and click 'connect'

I understand what you are saying. If I want to not auto connect. I must do as
suggested. The problem I am having happens in manual connect or auto connect.
IE is not bringing up my dial up window as on additional connects as it does
iiniatlly.
