While browsing in an administrator account explorer crashed. Any time I try to start explorer it fails and tells me explorer must quit. I eliminated all temporary files, and the problem continued. Then I created a new administrator account, tried to start explorer and ran into the same problem. But when I start explorer under a restricted account it's ok

Any ideas

Thanks

From Control Panel> Internet Options> Advanced uncheck "Enable third party
browser extensions." If that allows IE to open, search for malware:

I would start with CWShredder from http://www.merijn.org/downloads.html

You should re-enable browser extensions after the cleanup.
