Internet Explorer - Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library

Hi All,

I was wondering if anyone has a solution to a problem I have with
Internet Explorer.

The error I received is the following:

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library

Runtime Error!

Program: C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an
unusual way.
Please contact the application's support team for more information.

I have three computer accounts in my PC. One account has Administrator
privileges and the other have limited privileges.

When I first turn the computer one and login to the account with
Administrator privileges, Internet Explorer is fine. However when I
switch users and I try to open Internet Explorer the above error is
received.

I provided all three accounts with Administrator privileges but no
luck. I restarted my pc to see if it makes any different but no change.
The error remains when I switch users.

I have installed MS Office, McAfee, Adobe Professional 6 and Limewire.

Can anyone help with this problem? I get the error above only when I
switch users. Has anyone experience this problem before.

I'm using Windows XP Pro.

Thanks in Advance.

Uninstall Limwire from Add/Remove Programs.

Reboot - see if your error persists, post back your findings.

John, I had the same exact problem and solved it by disabling McAfee
Anti-Phishing Filter. I posted that solution on this site earlier.

This may have been possible in your case, it seems to me that Limewire
would be the most obvious culprit in this case of what he posted.

Thanks for sharing the information.
