EXPLORER CRASHES constantly!

I am having a major problem with Vista... every time i open a folder or click
on the clock/calendar my explorer crashes. I dont understand why? Can anyone
please please help me sort this problem out.

Run the system file checker from an elevated Command Prompt :-
Click Start > All Programs > Accessories and right-click Command Prompt,
then ‘Run as Administrator’. Type sfc /scannow (note the space) and press
Enter.

This may take some time and you may have to put the Vista DVD in the drive.

All always ask did you install any software on the computer, before this
started happening?
