explorer closing when accessing shared folder

Folks -

Explorer is shutting down whan I try and access certain
shared folders. The error was automatically reported.
when I asked for more information the next window
indicated there was a "hot fix" for this but I cannot
seem to find it.

Any help would be appreciated
