Explorer ceases working

Hello,

When I open explorer, it works fine for about 1-2 minutes, then when I
change pages, it says that it cannot find the server. When this occurs, it
becomes impossible to open any pages. Please note that when this occurs, my
modem icon says that I am still logged on the Internet. If I disconnect I
reconnect, the patern starts again. The problem might be related to service
pack 2 since I noticed that the problem occured after this installation.
However, since I waited a long time before going on the Internet, I am not
sure it is related.

Please help!
