explorer bar problems

I have McAfee SecurityCenter currently protecting my
computer, and a couple of days ago I was trying to
download a song from a website. All these popups started
coming up asking if I allowed access to the internet to a
bunch of applications, I said yes to some and no to
others. The next thing I know, I have a whole bunch of
stuff downloaded to my computer that I didn't want. New
folders were added to my favourites, and now a blue
search bar shows up every time I open Internet Explorer.
I'm getting tons of popups too. I've tried changing some
of my settings on McAfee to try to block these things,
and I had to delete a whole bunch of folders that were
downloaded. How can I get rid of everything once and for
all?

McAfee cannot block it. Try installing Spybot and AdAware (both are free).
