Expired Password

I have two computers setup in a LAN and they share a printer. One computer
runs Windows XP Home and the other NT 4. When I try to reconnect the XP to
the other computer it is telling me that I have an expired password but does
not prompt me to change the password. The network was setup without a
password. CTRL+ALT+DEL brings up the task manager but no way to change the
password either. How do I change the password and establish the
reconnection. I am logged on as an administrator. The other computer is
able to reconnect to the XP computer without a problem. Thanks for you help.

Win XP, by default, limits the number of days a password can be used. Looks
like you didn't change yours before the expiration date. Try booting into
Safe Mode and change the password. There is a way to 'fix' it so the
password doesn't expire but I sure couldn't find it and it's been awhile
since I installed XP Pro and I'm having a memory lapse.
