Expanding a hotmail folder on Outlook startup

I just installed Outlook 2003 at home and it does the same thing to me that
it does at work.
When I have a hotmail account set up, Outlook has the hotmail folder tree
closed by default when I open up Outlook.
How can I configure Outlook to have the hotmail folder tree expanded without
setting the hotmail inbox as the default folder to start in?
 
You can't. That's the way OL works with web mail. OL is really better used
with POP or IMAP mail. Hotmail is designed for your browser.
