exit windows user causes desktop icons to change when I sign back

My original question was worded incorrectly. Here it is again. Thanks for
the original replies I just wish I had done a better job stating the
situation. Here it is.

When I log off one windows user and sign in on another user AND then go back
to the first user the desktop icons all align to the left. When I continue
signing in/out and checking each user desktop they are both changed by all
aligning to the left even after I align them where I want them to be on the
desktop.

Before I established another windows user on my computer for my wife the
desktop icons were always located where I want them and they did not move
unless I
drag them to a new location on the desktop.

How can I get desktop icons to stay where I put them when I change windows
users?

I have unchecked name, size, type, modified, auto arrange, & align to grid.

Also I have checked box titled “lock desktop items†path: right click
desktop > properties > desktop > customize desktop > web > lock desktop items.

If I don’t change users the desktop icons stay were I located them upon
computer start…just as they always did.

Again thanks for taking the time to help!!!
