All of a sudden I can't run a link sent in an email. When I click on it,
nothing happens. Did the kids mess up something on my computer or what?
Does anyone know what could have happened?

Is Internet Explorer your default browser? If so:
Open the Default Programs applet, which you can access either from
the Start menu or via the Control Panel, then click the first item:
"Set your default programs."
After a few seconds, a list of programs comes up. Click on "Internet
Explorer". If it doesn't respond with "This program has all its defaults"
then fix it by clicking on the option indicated by the first green arrow.

Yes, Internet Explorer is my default browser. I tried what you suggested.
It responded with "This program has all its defaults."
Any other ideas?

There one other thing to try:
The following procedure will rewrite the default protocol
assignments in the registry:
Open the Default Programs applet, then click on "Set program
access and computer defaults." Expand the Custom selection, and
select Internet Explorer. Click OK.

If still no improvement, you may have installed a non-compatible
add-on in IE. Close IE, then restart it by going to Start, All Programs,
Accessories, System Tools, Internet Explorer (no add-ons).
Then click on a URL link in an email. Does it work now?

Gary hello . I had the same problem . I just did what you have suggested It
worked ; thanks a lot .
