HI was trying to send a executable file through my email....it was just a
zip file....but my email program reject it...as harmfull...any reason for
this

You can tune your email program not to reject the harmful attachment:
sometimes somewhere on the Security page of its settings, sometimes using the
direct Registry editing. But I don't see what is a name of this program -- so
can't be more specific.

Yes there is. Executable programs transmitted via email are frequently
virus carriers, so many email programs screen them out. There's
probably a setting someplace in your email application to control
this, but your intended recipient's email system may delete the
executable before he has a chance to receive it.

Yes, many of the mail servers do reject the potentially harmful attachments
like *.exe, *.pif and some others -- even if they are packed in the archive.
Moreover, some of the servers do reject any archives -- like *.zip, *.rar etc.

But you can send such attachment still -- if to change its extension to
something neutral and to notify your correspondent either to rename it back,
or to open this file with the archiver you used even without changing the
extention of this archive back.
