Exchange settings

I recently set up Outlook on my home computer and entered in the e-mail
account to be that at my work. My work e-mail is on an Exchange server. My
home computer thinks its a POP3 account. Now all of the e-mail I receive on
my work e-mail gets forwarded to my Outlook on my home computer and the
e-mails in my inbox on my work computer get deleted and I see no trace of
them. Is there a way to configure or synchronize both Outlooks to display
everything the same? Thank you for your time.

Did you configure it as exchange or as pop3? Go to tools, accounts - what is
set to be the default delivery location? if you are connected to exchange as
exchange, it should be the Exchange mailbox.

If you are using POP3, you need to click More settings, Advanced and set
outlook to leave mail on the server.

Ask your Exchange administrator what the configurations settings are for
making an Exchange connection instead of a POP3 connection.
Once you have those settings, create a new mail profile with the correct
settings.
See http://www.howto-outlook.com/faq/newprofile.htm

After that, reconnect the pst-file that got created with the POP3 account
via;
File-> Open-> Outlook Data File...

Then copy all the files from the mail folders of the pst-file back to your
Exchange account.
