Exchange Servers

I'm trying to set up Outlook 2003 to Access my Student Email account at
college. I have the Exchange server link and everything, I just can't seem to
get it to work. It tells me that it cannot connect to the exchange server.
I'm not even sure that it is set up correctly, because I don't really know
how to do it.
I am on dial-up, Does Outlook recognize that you are already connected to
the internet with a dial up connection?

Any help would be appreciated.

Check with your Exchange adminsitrator to find out if you can access the
server from the Internet, outside the college network. Chances are that
either you can't or you'll need to configure a virtual private network
connection. ALso ask whether OUtlook Web Access is available, so you can
check your mail in a browser.
