Exchange build numbers and Update Rollup

When I go through the Exchange System Manager and right click on my server,
pick properties and under the General tab I get the following info.

Ver. 6.0 (Build 6249.4:Service Pack 3)

What I want to know is this the latest Build? I am new to this company and
am not sure the last time it was updated. What is the best way to determine
this? Is the method I use the way? What build is Exchange 2000 currently
on?

I was looking over MS Bulletin MS05-021 and it looks like I need to install
an Update Rollup for Exchange (KB870540). Is this correct? Any problems
with this update that I should be aware of before installing it?

Any help or ideas are greatly appreciated.
