Very strange problem. I had some trouble with my outlook, I had a dozen or
so profiles on my outlook and wanted to clean them up. So I deleted all of
them and started fresh. When I create a profile with just an exchange
account it creates it but as if I want to create a profile with no accounts.
After I just did a check names and it finds it. So I go ahead and say yes
and start outlook. Outlook starts, says I don't have any e-mail accounts,
and I have to add a POP3 account (if I try to add my domain login again, I
get an error about it already existing). Then outlook downloads all my
server side folders (and old emails) from my exchange account. But if I go
to Tools -> Email accounts -> view, only the POP3 account shows up, but it
got all my exchange mail from before this happened.

Why doesn't the Exchange account show up? How do I fix it?

HELP!!!

Thanks,
Chris

Did you use the same name for the acct as one of the ones you deleted?

Yes my domain login "chris". It finds my account chris when I click check
names and finishes the domain for the server. This morning I also got my
server reports and a W3SVC stopped email that only goes to chris. But I
can't send myself an email.

Thanks,

I would try a new profile (no need to delete any yet) - name it "Chris
0629". see if that works better - outlook keeps files around that belonged
to your profile and they might be causing problems.

Alternately, you can move, rename, or delete files in C:\Documents and
Settings\username\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook and C:\Documents and
Settings\username\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook.
