Excel window hangs up while opened from network .

Hi ,
This is Amit here, recently i have installed WinXP SP2
on my machine. But when i open a Excel which is downloaded
from the network before saving it to the hard disk, the
inner window of Excel hangs up and the partent window
containing the menus and toolbar doesn't show up.i am un
able to maximize the child window. only i can minimize or
close the child window. also it shows the data inside the
child window. it worked fine whith SP1 but now with WinXP
SP2 it does not open the the excel sheet.
is this a problem of SP2 , i could not find any article
regarding this. so please help me...

You might get better response by opening the newsgroups
on the left margin of this page. You see Office expand
that to excel Then choose one to post your message there--
