Excel Links

Is there a way to rename or move a directory and update
all the links which reference these moved files?

I will be moving data from one volume to another, and as
part of this consolidation, I will be renaming the
directories. Many of the files are excel files which
include links to other files. When the path to these
linked files are changed, the links will be broken. Is
there some way to automate this update?

Jim;
If you do the moves with the dependent workbook open it
shoud update. If you move them with both the source and
depenedent books closed I think your out of business.
