Renaming a file while maintaining links

What is the best way to rename a file yet maintain links to other documents

Curtis,

It depends on the direction of the links. If you have links to other files,
it doesn't matter how you rename the file. But the best option to preserve
links in other files is to open all the files that might be pulling data
from that file and then use Save As... on the one file that you want to
rename. Otherwise, you will need to fix the links of every file that
references the old workbook when they are first opened.

Open all the documents which are linked with each other. Now u can change the
name of any of the file. All other linked files will automatically adjust.
