Excel in Windows XP

Could some one tell me how to open up the excel file in windows XP for making spreadsheets? Thanks

There is no Excel in a standard Windows XP installation.You have to
buy this program or the Office package, where it is part of,
separately.

If you think that Windows XP includes Excel, sorry to tell you
that you're mistaken. Neither it, nor any other version of
Windows, has ever included Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, or
any significant other application software. Such programs have to
be bought, either by themselves or as part of Microsoft Office.

If your previous computer, running an older version of Windows,
came with Excel, it was because the vendor who sold it bundled
Excel as part of the package he sold you, not because that
version of Windows came with Excel.
 
ya' gotta B U Y Excel...or the Office package.....Excel never was part
of any OS...

Start > All Programs > Microsoft Excel, assuming you've performed
a reasonably typical installation of Excel or Office.
